My kid loves this youth soccer camp
To be honest I wasn’t sure how Cody would react to us enrolling him in one of Skyline Soccer’s soccer camps. Not because he isn’t athletically inclined or anything but more so because he had never been away from home before now. His father and I were worried that maybe he would get homesick and try to leave or that he would be miserable playing a sport he isn’t too fond of. You can’t live life in the passenger seat though so we signed him up (with his permission of course) and took him down to Skyline Soccer to meet and greet with the coaches and staff. Usually Cody would be very shy meeting a slew of new people like that but they must have earned his trust because he walked up to the coach and everyone else and introduced himself.
My husband has been trying to get Cody involved with Colorado youth soccer for some time now but we just haven’t felt the enthusiasm for the sport like we wanted. This summer is different than in years past though because a lot of his friends have also joined soccer, baseball and football leagues so it really was time to get him going on something to keep up with his peers. In the soccer camp they will teach Cody to share, be selfless and work as a team to accomplish a goal. I think all of these things should help him in the long run and it’s something that is a hard lesson to learn in the real world.
